Hannover cleaning company receives DPMA utility model for its primer remover
From the daily practice of professional building cleaning in Hannover, a cleaning product has emerged that solves a decades-old pain point in the industry: the residue-free removal of primer from glass, plastic, and tiles – gentle on materials and without scratches.
HATOCH GmbH, a subsidiary of HKD-Services GmbH, based in Hannover since 1997, has registered its self-developed primer remover formula as a utility model with the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA). The protective right (DE 20 2021 105 495) protects the active ingredient combination of the HATOCH® product line, which – depending on the variant – covers all three common primer types: acrylic, silicate, and hybrid primers. The compact 50-ml stick covers acrylic and hybrid primers, while the SPECIAL 500ml concentrate also covers silicate and mineral primers.
From cleaning frustration to innovation
The formula did not originate in a lab, but on the construction site: As a cleaning company with over 28 years of experience in window, office, and special cleaning, HKD-Services faced the same problem daily – primer splashes on window panes and PVC frames that could not be removed with commercially available cleaners. Together with chemists, an independent formula was developed over years.
